Crispy Garlic Parmesan Fried Mushrooms

Ingredients:

  • 500 g fresh mushrooms (button or cremini), cleaned and halved
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour if needed)
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Wash and pat mushrooms completely dry.
  2. Prepare 3 bowls:
    • Bowl 1: flour
    • Bowl 2: beaten eggs
    • Bowl 3: breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper mixed.
  3. Coat each mushroom in flour, dip in egg, then roll in the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and fry mushrooms in small batches until golden brown and crispy (3–4 minutes).
  5. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of Parmesan.
